The Imlay Township Board would like to thank Assessor Jake Karl for his years of service to the residents of Imlay Township. Best wishes on the next part of your journey.

The Board would like to welcome Assessor Kaili Ropp to the Township. Her experience with other local municipalities make her a good fit for our residents. Kaili’s office hours will be Friday’s from 9 am to 1 pm. You can also contact her trough the Township Website.

Public Hearing Notice - July Board of Review

Date of Meeting: Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm
The July Board of Review has authority to:
  • Grant a Poverty Exemption for 2025, which was not denied by the March Board of Review
  • Review a denial by the Assessor of an Eligible Development Property Exemption for 2025.
  • Review a denial by the Assessor of a Qualified Agricultural Property Exemption for the current year only (2025) if the exemption was not on the tax roll for the previous year (2024).
  • Review Qualified Agricultural Exemptions claims for the current (2025) and previous year (2024) if the property met requirements on or before May 1 of the year being claimed.
  • Qualified and clerical errors as defined in MCL 211.53b.
  • Errors regarding the Disabled Veterans Exemption as defined in MCL 211.7b.
  • An exemption under section 7u (10), for the immediately preceding tax year (2024) only, if the exemption was not on the assessment roll and was not denied for that tax year.
